“Small town, small market.” That’s what you might think but when you visit the Olde Towne Curb Market in historic downtown Smithfield, Virginia, that’s not what you find. This unique farmer's market has enjoyed 5 years of successful operation with over 30 vendors. It is packed with enthusiastic crowds every Saturday of the season.

KIDS SHOW: Come participate in the show Creative Party Pals will be hosting. It includes face painting, balloon art, singing, dancing, temporary tattoos, gifts and surprises. Visit the market to find out who the guest character will be!


Val Johnson is back! Visit the market to find out what craft activity she’ll have!

Not only does our market feature produce but shoppers are entertained by live music as they purchase items such as delicious baked goods, hand- painted garden items, wonderfully fragrant goat’s milk soaps, hand-turned wooden treasures, herbs, orchids, fresh flowers and yes, you guessed it: live animals, including alpacas! The market opens in May and continues every Saturday morning from 9 to 12 through the end of August. Specialty markets are held in October, November and December.
